Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Might be Announcing Other Products Apart from iPad Mini

Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL)’s October 23 event is no doubt a highly anticipated one and many have started to compile a list of items that will be launched apart from the iPad mini. The list comprises improved Mac minis and iMacs, a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, and a modified full-size iPad to adapt to the new Lightning connector. iTunes 11 and iBooks 3 are also included in the list.

Among the rumors floating around, it is most likely that the full-sized iPad and iTunes 11 will be unveiled during the event with the iPad mini taking centre stage. Of course, these speculations might be true if Apple sticks to old habits of introducing products that are related to each other. The iTunes Store has been given a facelift with an improved interface and will be available in Mac’s and PC’s as well apart from iOS devices. The source list, which is the sidebar on the left side and is almost a trademark of iTunes, has been eliminated. Mac Player and playlists can now be viewed as small icons.

There are individual sizing controls in the Mini Player like the green button on the iTune main window's left side back to the standard OS X function of intelligent resizing. The layout is simple and easy, keeping in line with how a background player would look. The iCloud access and the iTunes Store have been incorporated in a subtle manner with items from both places bearing a symbol of the two. iTunes manages numerous files like podcasts, TV shows, books, movies, radio, etc., which can now be accessed from sub-libraries near the top. Concert data about specific artists has also been included.

TheNextWeb reported a leak in a listing on the iBookstore, which might mean that version 3.0 of Books is on the cards. If the new version is actually being readied for release, a new version of iBooks Author, Apple's Pages-like e-book authoring app will also be announced. Users have frequently stated the need for a Mac version of iBooks; a problem that might be solved by the new version. Although the slip in listing might be erroneous, but it could be Apple’s way of streghtening their position in the ebook market that includes rivals like Kindle, Nook, Kobo and Kindle Fire, which are e-readers.
