Will Samsung's Galaxy SIII be banned from selling? Well, if Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) has its way, not only its latest smartphone but it could also face a ban on its Galaxy Note.
In a recent fling with a court in California - which is incidentally not the same one which awarded Apple more than $1 billion in damages in a patents dispute with Samsung - the Cupertino company submitted a fresh list of 21 devices made by Samsung, which infringed on its patents.
Included in the new list were the Galaxy SIII and the Galaxy Note.
If the new court finds that the Korean company infringed on Apple's patents then it has the power to halt Galaxy sales in the United States before the trial.

"Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smartphone and tablet computer products, Samsung has chosen to copy Apple's technology, user interface, and innovative style," Apple said in a legal document.
In retaliation, Samsung said in a statement, ""Apple continues to resort to litigation over market competition in an effort to limit consumer choice."
"We will continue to take the necessary legal measures to ensure the availability of our innovative products in the United States," it said.
Analysts feel that Apple seeking to ban more of Samsung's products was natural. They also believe that such action would not really limit consumer choice but would actually make Samsung more innovative rather than try and copy designs.
